MOMENTS CAPTURED, STORIES TOLD:

Photography BY Kerry Madigan

This featured exhibition celebrates the extraordinary work of Kerry Madigan, founder of Mad Rose Gallery and a dedicated photographer whose practice spans more than five decades. Kerry’s journey began in the early 1970s, where her instinct for storytelling through still images was nurtured by mentors such as Time Life photographer Yale Joel and George Tice, a master printer and seminal figure in American black and white fine art photography.

Rooted in the traditions of film and the darkroom, Kerry’s early work captures ephemeral moments with quiet sensitivity and technical precision. Her images speak in a language of light and shadow—each frame a narrative, each detail a meditation on time, place, and presence.

Today, Kerry continues to evolve her craft, embracing digital photography and archival inkjet printing with the same dedication and discernment that has defined her work from the beginning. This collection offers a rare look at both the history and the ongoing vision of an artist whose work reflects not only the world around her but the spirit of a life devoted to the pursuit of beauty and meaning.

As the heart and soul of Mad Rose Gallery, Kerry’s work continues to inspire, connect, and enrich—all in service of the gallery’s mission to foster creativity, cultural appreciation, and community through the arts.
